Once again this past week we’ve been busy scanning across the internet to find the latest information and Open University courses. The greatest university on the planet (we reckon anyway) is always innovating and leading the way on many issues that affect us around the globe and these news pieces reflect just that. So if there’s a free course or bit of news on the agenda then hopefully we will pick it up and stick it on the next Open University news.
Aspiring teacher thanks school by turning it into a wonderland. Just before the start of the autumn term, staff at Badger Hill primary school, Saltburn-by-the-Sea, came in for a routine training day and found themselves in a scene from Alice in Wonderland. Jan Dering, a volunteer at the school, dreamed up the tea party together with The Open University (OU) as a way of thanking staff at Badger Hill for their kindness and support while she’d been studying for a foundation degree.

The Open University (OU) has announced its support for the second annual Milton Keynes Business Achievement Awards (MKBAA) with sponsorship of the ‘Business of the Year’ award, 2015. The OU joined fellow sponsors at a launch event held at The Casino MK, which was hosted by founders of the awards, the Milton Keynes Business Leaders Partnership (MKBLP).
